QCAM has been managing the Short Term Fixed Income USD strategy for over a decade as part of a client mandate (managed account) with great success. The strategy is based on an active management approach and consistently pursues the goal of optimising returns while maintaining a high level of security. On 31 March 2025, this proven solution was implemented for the first time in the form of a Swiss investment fund and is now accessible to a broader group of investors.

The Strategy

The QCAM Short Term Fixed Income USD strategy actively invests in the money market with an average term of around three months. Investments are made exclusively in high-quality borrowers – preferably public-sector or state-guaranteed institutions, particularly in Switzerland. Through active management, yield potential from the interest rate and currency market (FX Premium) as well as attractive private placements are utilised in a targeted manner. At the same time, a consistent FX best-execution approach (without hidden returns) ensures that every transaction is processed efficiently and transparently. Full hedging in USD eliminates currency risk and makes the strategy particularly suitable for investors with a USD basis or USD exposure.
