Hélie d’Hautefort

Board Member

Hélie d’Hautefort has been a member of the board since June 2020. Over the last 30 years Hélie has built a reputation as one of the most qualified and innovative currency professionals in Europe.

In 1998 Helie founded Overlay Asset Management (OAM) in Geneva, the first Continental European investment management business offering overlay currency services. By 2012 in partnership with BNP Paribas he had built the business to over $23.0 bn of Assets Under Management (“AUM”). His previous assignments include five years for PSA International, within the exchange-risk management unit of Peugeot Citroën group in Geneva, where he was in charge of the use of derivative products in currency hedging. He began in New York in the currency options market in 1985 within Crédit Lyonnais trading room.

Hélie graduated from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC), Paris.
